We looked at the Bel-Air Bay Club and fell in love with it the moment we turned off the PCH onto the long winding driveway to the clubhouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We're not sure if we can afford it or not. It's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride lately of falling in love with a place then finding out that it's outside of our budget. If we can pull this place it will be a feat! The date that we can afford to rent the place is September 5, 2010, during labor day weekend. Are holiday weekend weddings a faux paw or are they ok?
Nice place, but I can understand it might be over budget. A holiday wedding goes both ways, it's tricky. For some people it's ideal, because they get the time off from work and can travel. For others, it's when they want to take a vacation. Hard to say, so it's probably up to you to know your guests and what would work.
